Robert Amjad, Managing Director
B.
Robert Amjad is a Managing Director with Hemisphere Development,
a nationally recognized brownfield redevelopment firm. He focuses
primarily on Hemisphere’s acquisition and redevelopment
activities. Mr. Amjad also is a Principal in Hemisphere Advisors.
Mr. Amjad is a graduate of St. Louis University (BA) and also
holds an MBA (Finance) and a Juris Doctorate, both from Case Western
Reserve University. During law school, Mr. Amjad served as Managing
Editor of the Case Western University Law Review. Mr. Amjad also
has taught courses in Real Estate Law and Real Estate Finance at
John Carroll University.
Mr.
Amjad brings significant transaction experience to Hemisphere.
Prior to Hemisphere,
he was a Director with Ernst & Young Corporate
Finance LLC (the former wholly owned investment banking subsidiary
of Ernst & Young LLP which was acquired in 2004 by Guiliani
Partners) in its merger and acquisition advisory practice. During
his tenure as an investment banker, he advised middle market companies
in a variety of industries on almost $1 billion in merger, acquisition,
divestiture and capital-raising transactions.
Prior
to his work with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance LLC,
Mr. Amjad was a real estate consultant, assisting public and private
entities in designing and implementing real estate development
programs. Representative consulting assignments included designing
and managing a 25-city national acquisition and development program
for a national retail client and assisting a variety of clients
in evaluating, acquiring and developing various types of real estate.
Mr. Amjad serves on the Board of Directors of the Ohio National
Brownfield Association Chapter. He has made numerous presentations
to various groups regarding structuring and executing Brownfield
Redevelopments. He is also a founding member of the St. Martin
dePorres High School, a Cristo Rey network school, Founders Club.
